What is VerWater?

VerWater is a free web-based engineering platform for water-supply and wastewater-treatment calculations. Distribution-design calculations and wastewater treatment-train design live in one product, while regulatory assessments remain explicitly scoped to the selected source-specific standard.

Is VerWater free to use?

Yes. Every available calculator, standard, project save and export is free today. There is no payment page. Paid plans open once the treatment engine passes its certifiability review; a result an engineer cannot sign is not a result worth charging for.

Who is VerWater for?

VerWater is designed for environmental consultants preparing EIA reports, industrial engineers managing factory wastewater, municipal engineers operating city water/wastewater plants, and university researchers and students in environmental engineering courses.

Technical Features

Does VerWater support Thai PCD standards?

Yes. VerWater includes Thai PCD surface-water references and selectable effluent profiles for qualifying buildings and combined community wastewater-treatment systems. It requires every parameter named by the selected instrument before issuing a verdict. Industrial discharges outside those instruments are not represented as covered. The drinking-water table remains clearly marked as reference material pending parameter-by-parameter legal verification.

What process models are available?

VerWater supports IWA ASM1, ASM2d, and ADM1 models. Each run follows its configured ODE solver, reports the user-declared tolerance and measured convergence evidence, and withholds engineering outputs when convergence is not reached.

How does the Water Supply module work?

The Water Supply module exposes 6 separate calculations: Water Demand, Pipe Sizing, Tank Design, Pump Station, Pipe Headloss, Pressure Zones. It does not yet provide a connected network canvas or network-solver UI.

What treatment units are available in the Wastewater designer?

The designer offers the 12 unit processes the engine can currently stand behind: Bar Screen, Grit Chamber, Primary Clarifier, Aeration Tank, SBR, MBR, UASB, Oxidation Pond, Imhoff Tank, Secondary Clarifier, Equalization Tank, API Separator. Other units stay in the diagram palette as reference-only nodes and are visibly marked before placement because they stop downstream calculation. The supported count and names are read from the engine registry.

What does the COD/BOD source screening show?

It screens one measured COD/BOD ratio against 13 reference profiles and returns every overlapping range as a possible source. A ratio alone cannot identify an industry or prescribe a treatment train; confirm the source with site history, a complete wastewater characterization and treatability testing.

Current Scope

What is available in the Water Supply module today?

The available UI contains 6 independent calculations: Water Demand, Pipe Sizing, Tank Design, Pump Station, Pipe Headloss, Pressure Zones. Results belong to the selected tab; they are not a solved connected-network model.

Can the Water Supply module solve a looped network today?

No. A tested solver exists as a library, but no visitor-facing canvas or input flow can reach it. The current module must be used as separate design calculations only.
