Quick Treatment Train Calculator
Fast screening for a linear treatment train
Quick workflow
Start with the project basis below
Step 1 ·
Confirm the project basis and influent
Flow controls which automatic designs are valid. The values below are screening assumptions until you replace them with project or laboratory evidence.
Influent
Basis status ·
Current design flow: 1,000 m³/day. Confirm peak-flow basis, sample provenance and the applicable discharge standard before issuing any deliverable.
11 evidence gaps
Enter laboratory measurements and explicitly state their basis. A typed value starts as Assumed until you mark it Measured; the app never upgrades provenance silently.

“Approved by” is a certifying engineer's signature block, not just a name — include license type, branch, sub-branch (if any), level, and registration number, e.g. “[name], สามัญวิศวกรสิ่งแวดล้อม, เลขทะเบียน [number]”. These are the fields แบบ น.2 (the professional's certification letter required with a building-permit application under the Building Control Act) requires: ประเภท/สาขา/แขนง/ระดับ/เลขทะเบียน ใบอนุญาต · Approved by ต้องเป็นข้อมูลรับรองผู้ประกอบวิชาชีพ ไม่ใช่แค่ชื่อ — ระบุประเภท สาขา แขนง (ถ้ามี) ระดับ และเลขทะเบียนใบอนุญาต ตามที่แบบ น.2 กำหนด
Step 2 ·
Choose a starting train
These are the same curated linear starters used by the Project Designer. Every choice is checked against the current basis before it can be loaded.
Industrial oil-separation concepts remain in the Project Designer because their one-click creation requires project droplet and oil-property evidence.
Typical textbook scenarios (Metcalf & Eddy / Thai PCD). Not measured site data.
Step 3 ·
Build, verify and deliver
Results recalculate as you refine the train. Resolve design issues before issuing.
Choose how you want to start
Add supported units for a quick linear check, or use the project designer when the train needs project-specific geometry, branches, sludge routing or drawings.
Assemble a treatment train from the unit processes currently backed by the sizing engine, estimate removal performance, sludge production, energy and CAPEX/OPEX, and verify certifiable effluent against Thai PCD limits.

When to use
- Conceptual / preliminary design of a municipal or industrial WWTP
- Comparing treatment-train options on performance and cost
- Estimating sludge and energy for an operating budget
How to use
- 1Set influent flow and characteristics (BOD, COD, TSS, TKN…).
- 2Add and order unit processes in the treatment-train builder.
- 3Read cumulative effluent quality, sludge, energy and cost dashboards.
Key formulas
Overall removal (series)
C_out = C_in · Π(1 − ηᵢ)
ηᵢ = fractional removal of unit i
Food-to-microorganism ratio
F/M = Q · S₀ / (V · X)
S₀ = influent BOD; X = MLVSS; V = aeration volume
Solids retention time
SRT = (V · X) / (Q_w · X_w + Q_e · X_e)
Domestic train target
- Influent BOD
- 250 mg/L
- Primary + activated sludge η
- ≈ 0.35, 0.90
C_out = 250 · (1−0.35)(1−0.90) = 16.3 mg/L (modeled BOD indicator; legal verdict also requires every parameter in the selected source-specific profile)
